hmm

i think you were unlucky to get such a low score, it was worth more than 1.94. you can animate stickmen okay, not great, but okay. your basic movements arn't too bad. alot of your punches and kicks looked a bit choppy and there was far too much talking, it got a bit boring at times. im sure if you keep practising you'll get better :).

threassance responds:

o.k. thanks i'll surelly remeber to practice alot.

much better than i expected

being honest, i expected a peice of crap. but because im fair i put it on just to make sure. and i was surprised, it was a good fight, not the best, but certainly not a piece of crap. the sticks shrank a bit and the fighting could have been dont better and the moves could have looked more forceful. but it was pretty good. i'll give a 5/10, but i voted 3 on the other thing. so yeah, not bad, keep it up (or not since you arnt doing another one)

Zombie-clock-monkey responds:

thx dude, good review

cool

looking real cool, looking forward to it. but you spelled 'ultimate' wrong (you spelled it ultamite). but besides that, good work, cant wait for the real thing but since its only a preview i think you'll understand the lower marks.

Splurgle responds:

It's a preview, no need to carea bout the score. Thanks.

hmmmm

I really dont call that an animation...why? because its not. its not hard to make something like this and i dont know why it passed. all you did was write what the award was, explained what you need to get it, and then how to get it...just in text. i seriously dont know how this passed.

Frenzy responds:

Lol, what a stupid review.

First sentence:

Yes this is an animation. There was no animation was there? Did you even WATCH THE FLASH?

Second sentence:

Yes it is, see explanation for sentence one for more information.

Third sentence:

It passed because NG users voted on it. The majority liked it, so it passed. This is all in the 'Literature' section under 'General FAQ/Portal Info' (or something like that).

Fourth Sentence:

Read the title of the movie.

Fifth sentence:

See my explanation for 'Sentence Three' for more information.

Wow... that was a very, very unintelligent review. There is something called capitalization. Stay in school! Oh, and for a 15 year old, you're not very intelligent. I'm 13, for gosh's sake.

Also,a 0 for sound? There was no sound? Also, I included voices, too, not just text.

Once again, this was a pretty dumb review.

Thanks for the review!

i do like sticks

i do like alot of stick flashes, and i make them too. but frankly, this sucked, but im gonna try and be helpful.

first of all, you guys had no proper movements, it doesnt even look like you tried (which you probably didnt being honest) to make em move realisticly. do you magicaly slide along the floor? no, you walk, so should your stickmen.

the graphics...were bad, you could have at least attempted to draw better...i mean, i am not the best at graphics either, but i try and draw at least decent backgrounds and stairs etc, these seem like they were half assed drawn...or not even that, you didnt try at all by the looks of it. The spikes and all of those obstacles are badly drawn, no shading (unless you can call bad gradients shading) no effort.

the stickmen were drawn absolutely crap, first of all, the basics of drawing a stickman is that the look better without necks, your guys arms are in his stomach. next time you do a stick flash, dont have a neck, ESPECIALLY one that long, it looks horrible.

Since you just had the one stick man drawn (probably put in a graphic), you could have at least tried to make it look decent, it looks terrible, and thats being kind. The joints arn't properly attached to the body, it looks sloppy and horrible. At least try and draw it properly.

overall, this sucks, the sticks should be fbf, but theyre just horribly tweened across the canvas, they dont move realistically. the obsticals and everything else looks like theyve had no effort put in and you only used about a third of the canvas, you could have just lowered the dimentions. everything looks shabby and badly done and it just sucks, it really didnt deserve to pass judgement.

Frenzy responds:

Lol, well, at least you have low voting power. Just kidding, but thanks for the long review! I really appreciate it! But 0 sound...? I thad sound, didn't it...? o.O Anyway, once again, thanks for the review!

HAHA

that was really good and funny, really, you should make more portal spoofs, it was really good. the blood looked exellent aswell :p. but yeah, top notch stuff, good job!

RSQViper responds:

You know what my problem is? I can't stick with one thing. Just look at my Flashes. I kill off the main characters in every single one. It takes so much work designing them and I kill them off like pawns in my chess match.

I think I will revisit this idea in the future, though. Not exactly like this, but I have a script prepared for bad Flash Court. Where I take Bad Flash and put them trough court hearings for suckiness.

...

a crappy bunch of tweens does not make a movie

FiveStar responds:

In this case, it does!

Brilliant!

i saw the first one last year, and i just decided to go to sfdt today and saw this. i obviously decided to come here cuz i knew it would be here. and its awesome, at first i was like...oh no, wtf the screen is tiny, but it was cool with the explosion and making it bigger.

so yeah, ive already seen dead silent one, and this was an exellent sequel, and im with you, there isnt many fighting toons out there now, so i too try to keep them going with the xiaoness, and thats why i make them. although there is always those people who say 'omfg xiao style, sux' or 'omfg sticks, sux' but i love making em and thats why. and finally ive seen a brilliant author who can make them plain fights great. i applaud you.

so yeah, the bg wasnt much, but thats fine, flat surface, flat ground fight, fine. and i know its hard to get lots of them on the screen at once without them dieing quickly, but alternatively you could have loads and they could get knocked down easy, but get back up again, and after a couple of knock downs, they die, that would make it more realistic.

so keep it up, ill be looking out for the next one (in a couple of years ;p). but if you can, sooner :p. erm yeah, thats about all i have to say. and it is brilliant, but im gonna give a meer 9/10 rather than the full 10, as it can always be improved...and i know you wont dissapoint.

flaws: died too easily
i suppose there could be more weapons
mabey a background, although without one is fine, it'd be good to have the sticks be interactive with the background.

coolness stuff: great fight moves
overall thing was just great

im glad to see a fight like this again, its been a long time since ive seen one of these as good as this, well done.

Haxxy responds:

I'm glad to see that people remember Dead Silent 1 from last year, but now that I look back at it, the physics and some of the moves aren't too great. Although it's still entertaining to watch.

ZT and I wanted to make the background simple so it wasn't distracting. I was thinking of having silhouettes or blurred out moving machinery, but that would be too much on the viewer and would have them take their eyes away from the stick figures themselves.

It'll be a while before I make a mass-fighting animation with tons of stick figures, but I've planned to add some more realistic things like that since there's not much else to improve on. I'm glad to see other animators can give me constructive criticism so I can improve even more in the future. Thanks =)

cool

just for future reference, its webSITE, not webSIGHT. besides that it was a cool film, i liked it, i can tell you worked hard and i think its good. i voted 4, so gj. fairly funny although it gets a bit weird towards the end, but yeah, its good, im rambling on a bit now so ill just say i liked it and it was cool.

DrClay responds:

ah.........
man my spell check sucks........
well i'll see about fixing that later.
thanks for pointing that out

thanks for the review
good luck with your stuff

nope

sorry, it was very bad. i hope you didnt try, cuz if you did, its a sure waste of time. and i dunno how it didnt get blammed, you were 0.02 of a mark off it getting blammed, count yourself lucky :p.

and ShinKosai, tv uses 25 fps as that is what reality moves at :)

EL-Tomas responds:

meh....I didn't "try" to make anything special...just thought it looked cool, thats all

the 'Stelf' stands for 'STE' 'L'ee 'F'itzpatrick. Xiao style 3, coming soon!
